About Dr. YSR Horticultural University
Dr. Y S R Horticultural University was established by the government of Andhra Pradesh in 2007. This university is located in Venkataramannagudem, near Tadepalligudem in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is the 2nd Horticultural university in the country. Together with three colleges of horticulture, at Venkataramannagudem in West Godavari district, Mojerla in Mahaboob Nagar district and Anantharajupet in Kadapa district. Then, the university offers the Horticultural of B. Sc, M. Sc & Ph. D. Courses only, and the university offers 4 colleges and 12 Departments. Board of Management of the university was constituted on 16-02-2008 and the first Vice-Chancellor was appointed on 26-02-2008. Dr. Y.S.R Horticultural University started functioning independently from 10-05-2008.
